I love all my Stradics, I upgrade them with Carbontex Drag washers and Gomexus Power Knobs which have two bearings compared to the tee handle 1 bearing and a shim.

I have a sustain 3000hg can't get the line to lay level. Very poor considering the price.

I purchased 2 Stradic 2500 for the kids in 2014. They were 5 and 7 at the time. Them reels have been dipped in the ocean, had sand castles built on them but there still going strong 💪

With so many dissimilar metals in the line roller assembly, I wish people would lubricate them more often than not. Ive had to do some horrific things to get some bails apart and order so many parts to rebuild them. A drop of oil every outing people.

Every stradic I’ve ever owned has always ended up with water in the gears and had to be sent in for a service. No other reel ever seems to have this problem

Have a 2000hgs the best they have made. It's hard to believe they made it better.

Since I took a gamble and tried them, I will probably never buy anything other than KastKing again. Nothing else in Australia comes close to their products for the price.

I'm about to buy that reel but the guy in the shop told me this reel was not for Chanel catfish .. 🤷🏻‍♂️.. he's said catfish was strong fight so he not recommend me .. is that right.. this reel can not handle catfish Sir.. like 5-7 pounds catfish..???

Good to see you on the (small?) screen again Steve. Love the pictures and your banter. Most beginners would probably like some more details so they could copy what they are seeing. Things like the location, time of year, time of day, rig to use, knots used, sinker size, species sought, specific baits / rigs / hooks per species, best part of tide to fish. Then they could give it a go themselves.

It's hard to resist upgrading from the 8 to the ten for only ten dollars difference in price, but I really like the compact nature of the 8 for holding it in the palm of my hand when i'm jigging shallow water of sixty feet or less inshore. Either holds more line than I need.
